Esta noche, 27 de marzo, ha sido coronada la nueva Miss Grand International. Miss USA Abena Appiah es la nueva Miss Grand International.
Nuestra representante, Samantha Bernardo, ganó el primer finalista del certamen con sede en Tailandia que tuvo lugar en el Show DC Hall, Bangkok.
La reina de belleza de 27 años arrasó con el traje de baño en su bikini de dos piezas, con una puntuación de 9,62 de los jueces. En la competencia de vestidos de noche, obtuvo 9,68 con su vestido adornado con joyas.
Antes de representar al país en el escenario internacional, Samantha se unió a Bb. Pilipinas por tres veces. En febrero pasado, fue nombrada nuestra representante en Miss Grand International, luego de que Aya Abesamis, quien asumió el título después de que Samantha Lo renunció en 2019, fuera considerada incapaz de competir debido a restricciones de edad.
Durante la Rueda de Discursos, Samantha demostró que se merece ganar el título.
“Year 2020 will be remembered as the most challenging period in our history. COVID-19 pandemic has brought despair, destruction, and death.
Today, our world war has changed — from armed conflicts to war on hunger, for better health care systems, [against] racism, and [for] education. It’s an everyday battle that confronts all of us regardless of who we are and where we are from.
As a Malaria Free Philippines spokesperson, I have always lived up to my faith in humanity, cultural understanding, and respect for others. These are what I will continue to stand for if I become your next Miss Grand International.
I will be a channel of hope, compassion, and unity, to stand informed and stop any form of war and violence in this world. As we face the COVID-free world, join me as we work together in mending our conflicts and focusing on what truly matters.
